Primary Responsibilities:
Implement back-end enhancements to OIQ optimization platform using Java, C++, Oracle & MS SQL. Maintain SOAP XML-RPC interface to said platform. Implement Palm OS, BREW and J2ME apps for SMS, scalable mail solution with SMTP, POP3 and IMAP protocols. Ensure data encryption using IDEA, DSA, RSA algorithms and X.509 certificate format. Improve optimization algorithm using statistical analysis and probability theory.

Primary Responsibilities:
This position requires the ability to work closely with clients (mostly local Silicon Valley start-ups) and remotely managing a team of offshore software engineers in the Ukraine. The successful candidate will be fluent in Russian and demonstrate the ability to work in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity and drive the ideas to definition, scope and plan. After initial scooping of a project, this role will define, manage, and deliver high visibility software products/projects in a timely manner.

Requirements:
Must be able to demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive project to completion, and be successful in a collaborative environment. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to: working with executive level people to form a loosely defined plan, as high level requirements get defined, refining project scope; conducting project kickoff meetings; facilitating the development of technical, operational and/or business requirements; developing detailed baseline project plans; tracking/managing projects to successful completion; communicating status, issues and risks to project stakeholders; providing leadership to cross-functional project teams, and maintaining project documentation. At least four years of software development experience and some team lead/project management responsibility is required.

Education:
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
